Captelec was born in 1983, in the cradle of mail order where the founders recognized that the mail order business needs a regular supply of new, original, reliable and reasonably priced products. Thus it started as importer of all types of products specifically chosen for mail order catalogues.

Since the beginning, Captelec has striven to find and provide innovative products related to all areas of household equipment: garden, small lighting, security, kitchen... We have a large variety of products with a particular strength in finding pioneering electrical/electronic and battery operated products. For example, one of the very first state-of-the-art products imported by our company in the early eighties was a cordless phone for home use - well ahead of the competition!
